annual sale FAQ!

Thursday, December 13th, 2012

Ho ho ho - that time again! Around this time we start to get a lot of calls about the sale, so here are a few questions that we get asked A LOT!!!

1. What will be on sale?
Good question. We literally decide the night before, after we close, and blog some of the details the day of… So come by to see what is discounted! What we CAN tell you? Some collections do not go on sale because they are brand new, in high demand or are too difficult to acquire! Also sometimes only select models will go on sale within a collection.

2. What’s the deal with the $50 frames/sunnies?
These are typically discontinued colours of current frames, the last one of a series or collections that we will not be going forward with in the new season. They are as is, no warranty, and they may or may not have a case. But many of these frames are regularly priced at $300 and up, so we think that is kinda fair. 8)

3. Do lenses go on sale?
No, unfortunately we do not have sales on lenses. However, check in with us during the sale as lens upgrades may be available.

4. Can I buy a frame on sale even if I get the lenses elsewhere?
Absolutely. Any time you purchase a frame only, regardless of whether or not it is on sale, the warranty is affected. All purchases of frames or sunglasses during the sale have no warranty.

5. Can I put something on hold to think about it?
No, sorry. We cannot put any merchandise on hold at this time.

6. What if I’m shopping without my prescription?
We cannot take any responsibility for frames purchased without a copy of a valid prescription in hand. It is always safest to shop with this document to confirm that your frame is appropriate for your corrective lenses.

7. What if I change my mind?
All purchases during the sale are considered non-returnable, non-exchangeable, final sales. Please choose carefully and understand that we cannot make exceptions during this frantic time.

The fine print: all sales are final, and sale merchandise must be paid for in full at time of purchase.
If you are trying to reach us via phone or email on the first weekend of the sale? We will do our best to serve you as soon as we can, but, of course, shopping in person will get you faster and better service.
Speaking of service, as licensed opticians we pride ourselves on great customer service, informed technical advice and quality adjustments! However, during the sale we may not be able to provide you with the same quality of service. We apologize if this is any inconvenience.
