Visioffice

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Well, we’ve bragged about our custom frames in the past, but we haven’t let on that we can provide custom lenses too. Introducing our newest instrument at Bruce Eyewear: The Visioffice from Essilor!

The conventional way of measuring only takes into account the horizontal and vertical placement of your eye, using a pupilometer and marking pen;

whereas our new instrument will take the measurements of your eyes, your face, your glasses frame, your posture and the way in which you move your eyes in order to create custom lenses. This instrument will create your personalized Eyecode which takes a multi-dimensional approach to lens fitting!

Julie is seen here wearing the device that is mounted to the Harry Lary Invady frame on which sensors relay information to the Visioffice… and the photo below shows the instrument in action.

Customized lenses are excellent at widening the visual corridors in progressives, minimizing distortion for astigmatic patients, and sharpening vision in the periphery of larger lenses. No matter your age, prescription or lens style, this innovation in optical dispensing can benefit your next pair of glasses creating a difference you can see!

Specific lenses that will utilize these custom measurements include the following Varilux lenses:
-Ipseo 2.0
-Physio 2.0 f-360˚
-Physio 360˚
-Single Vision f-360˚
-Single Vision 360˚
…as well as many other custom branded lenses such as the Hoya MyStyle Optimum and the Nikon SeeMax Power AP.

Last night team bruce eyewear and our bosom friends at Essilor went bowling - SERIOUS, grown-up, 10 pin, right-out-of-the-Flintstones-throwing-big-rocks-at-dinsoaur-bones bowling.
It was amazing.

Editiors comment: Doesn’t look so grown up with the rainbow-coloured balls and 70s black-light wallpaper, now does it?
